Orion Medical Heath provides strategy development and technical assistance services to clients wishing to improve the impact of global health investments. We work in partnership with our clients, ensuring their every objective is met in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

Substantial increases in both funding for global health and the number of entities involved raises the need for greater accountability, impact measurement, and sustainability assurance. And to realize the potential of these and future investments, the world will be looking for greater engagement by the private sector, greater efficiencies and coordination among those investments, greater access to health services, and a greater ability to direct investments more strategically.

For the last 20 years, we have been helping healthcare organisations manage and transform their operations, both in the UK and overseas. We combine clinical expertise with commercial sense, and we know where technology fits in – we see the full picture and provide support where it’s needed most.

We work with both public and private sector healthcare providers, specialising in operations management, clinical advice, consultancy and development.

We focus on

  • creating increased demand for health services
  • improving integration of health services across all sectors
  • providing technical assistance to large-scale global health programs

The growing gap between the supply and demand for health services is an opportunity for innovation, improving the impact of investments, increasing the demand for health services, and improving health service integration.

The market for global health initiatives is growing rapidly. From 2001 to 2008, Development Aid for Health (DAH) increased from $7 billion to $28 billion per year. During that same time, new entities addressed growing health care needs, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), GAVI, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (The Global Fund), and many others. In 2009, the President announced the U.S. Global Health Initiative and committed $63 billion over six years to global health worldwide.

We work hand-in-hand with clients, as a full partner, providing guidance and advice, expert technical assistance, and access to thought leaders throughout the world. We commit to ensure that every client engagement is respectful, productive, efficient.
